Why women wear flip flops at work?

I know it is very comfortable (and sexy of course!) for women to come to work with flip flops,but is it professional? And if yes,why not the same for the guys?

Not very professional, but it depends on where you work whether you can get away with it. My boss lets me, but then it is very laid back here(why I'm doing this now!), and no one really sees my feet!





Flip flops are becoming more accepted, but I think it will be awhile before men will be able to wear them to work. Men's dress codes are not quite as relaxed as women's.





I can remember when my mother would make me put on "real shoes" to go into wal-mart. Times sure have changed!
Reply:well... unless there is a rule against it in your office... might as well let the ladies be comfortable. are you saying that the women in your office can wear flip flops but the men can't? if that's the case that does seem a little unfair.
Reply:No, I don't think it's very professional, but I still wear them to my job. lol My work is a little more casual though, so I can get away with it. Someone who works in a lawyers or an accountants office or something like that shouldn't wear flip flops.


And as for guys not being able to wear them, I think it's because men's feet are generally pretty ugly lol. (all feet are ugly, but women's are smaller and we can paint our toenails, so they are a little less ugly)
Reply:I wear flip flops at work only because I am pregnant and can't wear heels. Or I wear heels into the office than take them off. Flip flops or bare feet?...I say Flip flips.

Must have a nice pedicure! No ugly ruff callous feet or nasty toe nails
