Who said that flip flops are suitable attire off the beach?

I personally think that flip flops look stupid on anyone, especially men. When did they become acceptable, which designer made them fashionable, and are they out of a job yet?

Also who came up with those STUPID coloured jelly shoes with the holes in them? they should be banned!

Who said that flip flops are suitable attire off the beach?
i think flip flops are great but only on women and only on holiday

and i totally agree men shouldnt wear them and i HATE they jelly shoes they are disgusting also does anyone else hate crocs i think they are vile!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:well you sound like the type of person who would ring up a tv station and complain about something you saw/heard which you thought was unnappropriate, but really you are a closet watcher of the program anyhow!!

mate, the answer to your question is:

who cares what anyone wears, as long as they feel comfortable with themselves in their atire. you sound like a right pc person who moans about anything but everything.

to put it in a nutshell, every single day you go out, do YOU think you look absolutley top notch and there isnt a person who thinks you look bad? I DOUBT IT

hitler wanted everyone in the same uniform, blue eyed, same skin etc etc MY POINT RAISED PERFECTLY!!!!

now go away, you are pointless!
Reply:That's how fashion is. Someone will always wonder why others are wearing something.

I happen to like flip flops.

I can't help but wonder if you're one of those guys that wears shorts and sneakers.

I sometimes think that sneakers and running shoes aren't proper attire away from the gym or outside of designated physical activity. I also think that shorts are tacky away from the beach and pool. It goes the same way you think of flip flops. It's just the way it is.
Reply:I think they are suitable casual attire, just like sneakers/ jogging pants would be to wear when you're relaxing. I know after working sometimes 6 days a week, I want to wear something extremely casual on my days off. But if I'm going somewhere a bit formal then no I wouldn't wear them there.
Reply:"jelly" shoes? what??

idk, I like flip flops.
Reply:I think what she means by "jelly shoes" are those Crocs sandals everyone's been wearing these days. I'm not a big fan of Crocs but flip flops? They're amazing. If it was warm enough to wear them all-year round, I would. I'm not saying that they're the most fasionable shoes in the world, but they're definitely comfortable, as long as you're not a high-powered business-man/woman going to work.

But without all this personal points of views, here's my answer:

Flip-flops have been known to be inspired by the traditional Japanese shoe with wooden soles. I don't think the Japanese tradition is exactly "out of a job". And as far as the "jelly shoes" are concerned, or Crocs, as people that know what they're talking about would call them, Hanson, Seamans, and Boedecker have "came up" with the Crocs sandals which have sold out immediately when they have been first introduced in the summer of 2002. Since then, the company has made millions and millions of dollars off of the "stupid coloured jelly shoes." I doubt that they would be banned any time soon.
Reply:Who died and made you god of the fashion world!!!
Reply:HEY i LIKE flip flops.
Reply:Love flip flops, hate crocs and jelly shoes! lol
Reply:ya i know....someone is kinda weird whoever said that!! i also hate hate hate those jelly shoes...they r hideous...i luv ur thinking...its like mine lol
Reply:I agree 100% thank God someone spoke up and said something....
Reply:if you don't wear them why do you care so much
Reply:ok i agree with you on the jelly sandals but you're on your own about the flip flops. how do they look stupid?? they're comfy and the only things that can keep us cool in the summer. what do you expect us to wear??? BOOTS? heck no!
Reply:They're very comfortable, and comfort should win over fashion every time! Don't like it, don't look.
Reply:OK that is your opinion and you are entitled to that, i do agree w/ you about the jelly shoes however ...seriously are you kidding me they are just shoes get over it ! why are you so fired up about something so Minuit. you obviously have way to much time on your hands. maybe you should focus on something meaningful to rant about instead of flip-flops.
Reply:I think flip-flops are ok in casual situations (e.g. just popping to the shop etc) and on the beach. They are definately not acceptable for more formal occasions though. I agree with you on the jelly shoe thing though, they are utterly gross. Anyone over 8 should be arrested for wearing them!!
Reply:Flip flops %26amp; jellies rule OK!
Reply:I suppose you prefer to wear socks and shoes to the beach? That looks cool. Especially with white and harry legs - dark socks are a must.

Dude (and I say that because I'm from California and can) people wear "flip-flops" -I didn't realize that term was still in use - to the beach to keep sand out of their shoes, cars and homes. You just don't get it!
Reply:thats what you think
