Shrinking leather flip flops?
i need to shrink the straps on my leather flip flops and a friend suggested soaking them in water... but will that make the dark brown color fade? any other suggestions maybe?

Hi I would like some wedding flip flops to wear to the reception after my feet get tired in my 4 inch heals. I have been looking and all i see the ones that impint just married. I would like some pretty looking ones that are not to expensive as I will prolly never wear them again. Please Help!

My only concern is your dress. Is it floor-length? When you wear the flip-flops your dress is going to be sweeping the floor if you have it altered for the 4%26quot; heels.
Since you want to wear heels for the ceremony, why not get platform flip-flops? I%26#039;m sure you could find some at 2-3%26quot;, but 4%26quot; may be impossible. How about you get fancy shoes for the ceremony and platform comfy shoes that are approximately the same height? This way your dress (and you) will look beautiful all night. In addition, you%26#039;ll also be a bit closer in height to your hubby for all the dancing at the reception!

How should I clean my flip flops?
I have a pair of brown flip flops. They do not have any form of cloth material and they are thick. I have been looking for them for a few weeks and I found them in my mother’s closet. Apparently some animal got poop on them or got the smell of poop on them. I washed them with soap and water but they still stunk I cannot wear them again until they stop stinking or I am going to have the throw them away. I just put them in hot water and pine sol to soak. I do not know if this will ruin them but if I can%26#039;t get the smell out I can%26#039;t wear them so I didn%26#039;t care but will the flip flops like come apart and leave a big mess in my mama’s sink or something? If you have a better idea on hoe to clean them let me know.

After you rinse them, dry with old rag or old towel and set them out in fresh air for a day. That should get rid of stink. I%26#039;d suggest you scrub sink out with comet or soft scrub and a small amount of bleach, and rinse well. Then mom might not be upset that you cleaned poopy flip flops in her sink.

Why do flip flops hurt?!?
I love the way flip flops look, but I have never been able to wear them. As soon as I put them on and try to walk, my toes scrunch up to keep them on, I can%26#039;t even control it. That makes it impossible to walk. Also, the thong that goes between the toes cuts into them. It%26#039;s so painful. Is this something that everyone goes through and just gets used to? Why can%26#039;t I wear them?

I%26#039;m worried that the pine sol will cause them to melt if it%26#039;s too strong of a solution. It does happen to the wrong plastics. Pine sol is a very strong product.

American Eagle flip flops at Payless?? =/?
Okay, I dont want to sound rude, but me and my cousin went in a Payless shoe store to look around. We saw some American Eagle flip flops. So I%26#039;m wondering, are they real or fake? Does anyone know or think, if they%26#039;re either real or fake? I%26#039;m just curious.

The young people and some not-so-young people wear flip-flop sandals all year round. They wear them at church, going through slush icy parking lots, at football games (in the stands!) and everywhere else. It must be a fashion thing? Surely flip-flops are not that comfortable.

Is it healthy for your feet to predominately wear thongs/flip flops? From the moment I get up in the morning till I go to bed at night, I have my thongs on, is this doing long term damage to my feet.?

Is bad odor from wearing flip flops caused from chaning into them after wearing shoes and socks?
I was wondering if the odor is worse when you change into flip flops after wearing shoes or if it is the same as if you had put them on after getting out of the shower. Also I have been told that odor is bad when I have changed into shoes after wearing flip flops, when short on time I tried putting purrell on feet before putting on clean socks and shoes.
Is bad odor from wearing flip flops caused from chaning into them after wearing shoes and socks?
Ok plain and simple: Odor comes from bacteria and sweat. Your feet happen to be good at producing both. It%26#039;s one of the main reasons you should always wear socks with your shoes.
The fact that you%26#039;re transferring to flip-flops in and of itself is irrelevant. If anything, flip-flops would help eliminate sweat because there%26#039;s more ventilation, so less sweat gathering. However, when you pull out of your shoes and socks, the bacteria and sweat ALREADY on your feet is then transferred to your flip-flops where it can sit and grow. Depending on the type of flip-flops, it could have dozens of nooks and crannies to collect and multiply.
Purell is a stop-gap measure. It%26#039;s meant to kill bacteria yes, and that%26#039;ll help your feet from transferring, but to get rid of it, you need to kill all of it.
Do 2 things.
1. To kill what%26#039;s there now, spray your flip-flops heavily with this stuff called approach. You can get it online. It%26#039;s great stuff and it completely eliminate%26#039;s odor without any harsh chemicals so it won%26#039;t damage your flip flops. It also won%26#039;t leave any weird smell behind. Also heavily spray the insides of your sneakers. Just like odor is building on your flipflops, it%26#039;s building in there too.
2. Keep your feet clean (obviously). In addition to showering, you can spray your feet with the same approach stuff. It%26#039;s totally safe. (My dad sprays it in his mouth for his hallitocis thank god). That%26#039;ll kill the bacteria on your feet and eliminate any latent odor so that when you put on your flip flops, you%26#039;re fresh and clean and ready to go.
Hope this helps. I%26#039;ve had some sneaker issues myself and after spraying my shoes routinely, it%26#039;s gone away.

Is bad odor from wearing flip flops caused from chaning into them after wearing shoes and socks?
Ok plain and simple: Odor comes from bacteria and sweat. Your feet happen to be good at producing both. It%26#039;s one of the main reasons you should always wear socks with your shoes.
The fact that you%26#039;re transferring to flip-flops in and of itself is irrelevant. If anything, flip-flops would help eliminate sweat because there%26#039;s more ventilation, so less sweat gathering. However, when you pull out of your shoes and socks, the bacteria and sweat ALREADY on your feet is then transferred to your flip-flops where it can sit and grow. Depending on the type of flip-flops, it could have dozens of nooks and crannies to collect and multiply.
Purell is a stop-gap measure. It%26#039;s meant to kill bacteria yes, and that%26#039;ll help your feet from transferring, but to get rid of it, you need to kill all of it.
Do 2 things.
1. To kill what%26#039;s there now, spray your flip-flops heavily with this stuff called approach. You can get it online. It%26#039;s great stuff and it completely eliminate%26#039;s odor without any harsh chemicals so it won%26#039;t damage your flip flops. It also won%26#039;t leave any weird smell behind. Also heavily spray the insides of your sneakers. Just like odor is building on your flipflops, it%26#039;s building in there too.
2. Keep your feet clean (obviously). In addition to showering, you can spray your feet with the same approach stuff. It%26#039;s totally safe. (My dad sprays it in his mouth for his hallitocis thank god). That%26#039;ll kill the bacteria on your feet and eliminate any latent odor so that when you put on your flip flops, you%26#039;re fresh and clean and ready to go.
Hope this helps. I%26#039;ve had some sneaker issues myself and after spraying my shoes routinely, it%26#039;s gone away.

Reply:Threw your flip flops in the washer wash with soap on gentle cycle, then some fabric softener for rinse cycle. this does help.The odor is from sweating into rubber soles.Yuky.Huh?

If the odor doesn%26#039;t come from your shoes and it comes from the flip flops throw them out and buy a new pair. Usually it is from the glue that they use to put the shoes together that make mine smell. Vans make my feet stinky but i love them.

What color flip flops should I get?
I have quite a few pairs of flip flops lying around, but I want to get one really nice pair in a color that will go with everything. I have black, brown, turquoise, etc, colored skirts (in addition to jeans), and I am trying to figure out if I should get chocolate brown or black ones shoes (I can%26#039;t ever seem to keep white ones clean enough). Aren%26#039;t shoes usually supposed to be darker than the skirt/pants? So maybe black ones, because then they will be assured of being darker than everything else I own.

I know a lot of people kick their flip flops off under a restaurant table or standing in a line. Some ppl get offended by that for some reason? Do you kick yours off? If not completely %26quot;off%26quot; at what point does it get offensive?Does the tip of your toe have to touch the thong strap?If you put your foot right on top of your flip flop instead of under the thin strap, how does that make a difference with ppl not getting mad?

I am looking for some cute sandals for the summer. I live in a small town and only have 4 clothing stores here to shop from and I don%26#039;t like any of them. is there some cute stuff online? make sure ur feet dont get wet becuz the friction btween ur feet and the flip flop wil turn it dark

Any good suggestions for cleaning flip-flops?
My flip-flops always have a feet mark because of the dirt constantly around the feet from the open flip-flops....is there anyway, other than vigorously scrubbing them with toothbrush, to get them clean? I can usually get them decently clean, but I stand over the sink with a toothbrush scrubbing forever! I need an easier method! Help.

You can also throw them in the dishwasher up on the top rack! Don%26#039;t have the dry cycle on the dishwasher though,

Tennis Shoes. Trust me! If you want to walk around all day with your feet sore from walking then you should wear flip- flops. Tennis Shoes don%26#039;t do that quite as much. Even if it%26#039;s a hot day you shouldn%26#039;t wear flip-flops. Anyway even if your going to wear flip-flops then you have to take them off on roller coasters (which is pretty disgusting because of walking on the ground in bare feet where someone might have gotten sick!)
I recommend tennis shoes, but hey it%26#039;s your choice!

Tennis Shoes. Trust me! If you want to walk around all day with your feet sore from walking then you should wear flip- flops. Tennis Shoes don%26#039;t do that quite as much. Even if it%26#039;s a hot day you shouldn%26#039;t wear flip-flops. Anyway even if your going to wear flip-flops then you have to take them off on roller coasters (which is pretty disgusting because of walking on the ground in bare feet where someone might have gotten sick!)
I recommend tennis shoes, but hey it%26#039;s your choice!

I can%26#039;t wait until it is just a little warmer so I can wear my flip-flops. They are seasonal here because it gets too cold to wear them most of the year in NJ. I admit I am uncomfortable wearing them a lot because they seem too casual (of course there are dressier versions that work in all kinds of situations). And then they are also nice because they are inexpensive; I think I have all of Old Navy%26#039;s colors (2 for $5 on sale several times from roughly March-Sept.)

Fake burberry flip flops ? where can i get them ?
i bought pair of fake burberry flip flops in turkey few years back, have loved them %26amp; worn them to death!!!
they r hard soled as opposed to rubber, have %26quot;thong toes%26quot; have the brown check pattern on them, %26amp; say burberry of london on bottom. they cost me approx £15 then, in a market.
I have tried ebay to get them, but because of copywright etc, have been unsucessful!!! please if anyone knows where i can get another pair, or is going to turkey, let me know, if u r going to put them on ebay after, would b eternally grateful!!
