Orange flip flops at the local gay dive bar???

Now I know orange is the color of our local championship professional soccer team, The Houston Dynamo, but, it is considered fashion forward to wear orange flip flops at the local gay dive bar??? Did I miss a memo??????

i don%26#039;t like flip flops period. anyone who wears flippers to a dive bar is asking for trouble. cut glass, spilled drinks, etc. maybe on a special bare feet night. maybe that was the memo. i%26#039;m sure there are social circumstances where orange flippers are appropriate, but not at a dive bar.


it%26#039;s a sore spot for me. i frequent leather bars and when someone walks in wearing flip flops or sneakers it kind of annoys me.
Reply:Wow...I guess it depends on what bar it was. You know me...I know Jr%26#039;s and SB...and that%26#039;s about it. I would never be caught dead wearing colored flip flops to Walmart, much less the bar...jeez....





I just hope this person just came back from Galveston. That would be the only reason to wear those....anywhere.





And...if that%26#039;s the case...just go to the bars on the strand. There are at least 2, right?

(Marq has sandals for *every* occasion — work, home, out in the yard, church, business, concerts, performance — but I sure as *hell* am NOT going to wear shoes, which I find extremely uncomfortable!)

Reply:Flip flops are my fashion pet peeve - they are for beach wear only in my honest opinion. I%26#039;d never wear them into a bar - unless it was a beach bar.
