Any good suggestions for cleaning flip-flops?

My flip-flops always have a feet mark because of the dirt constantly around the feet from the open flip-flops....is there anyway, other than vigorously scrubbing them with toothbrush, to get them clean? I can usually get them decently clean, but I stand over the sink with a toothbrush scrubbing forever! I need an easier method! Help.

Any good suggestions for cleaning flip-flops?
I throw mine right in the washer on a gentle cycle after putting spot remover all over it!

You can also throw them in the dishwasher up on the top rack! Don%26#039;t have the dry cycle on the dishwasher though,

I%26#039;ve done this before with flops and with baseball hats!

Reply:try using dish liquid and hot water.i don%26#039;t wear flip-flops but dish liquid and hot water clean alot of things!!! hope this work.
Reply:throw them out and buy some new ones. Or break out the tooth brush and start scrubbing.
Reply:Just run them with water!
Reply:Lay a paper towel on them in the sink or bathtub then pour a couple drops of bleach on each paper towel so that the paper towel absorbs the bleach and becomes saturated. Leave them sit for 15 minutes or so and rinse. Disinfects the flip-flops too!
Reply:Yes. Clean them DAILY, after EVERY wear.

You are welcome!
Reply:Yes! Throw them in the washing machine, I always did that, and it cleans them just great!
Reply:Use a regular size scrub brush, like for dishes, the kind with a long handle. I use one of those plus dish soap.
Reply:The trash can is an easy solution. Throw them into it, and then buy new flip flops. They cost like $5, and the amount of time you spend cleaning old ones outweighs the cost of new ones.
Reply:Soak them in a bucket of hot water and a stain removing powder soap, like oxiclean. That should cut down your scrubbing time. In the future dust them with baby powder before you wear them..that will keep your feet from sweating and getting them muddy and whatnot.

They will last longer if you keep them clean on a regular basis. Don%26#039;t wait until you see the imprint of your feet! My grandfather wore the same sneakers for like years, but they always looked new. Every evening he would clean them, and twice a week he would soak the laces in a bleach mix.
Reply:I wash my towels with bleach and just toss the flip flops in with them, comes out pretty clean
Reply:How cheap can you be? Spend the 2 bucks and buy new ones. Don%26#039;t forget to wash your feet once in awhile.
Reply:soak them in detergent and hot water.
Reply:Sometimes you can spray on some %26quot;spray nine%26quot; and let it soak for a while, then rinse really well. If they are white, try a little Javex and dish soap.
Reply:Do you use soap? Because I have no problem getting the dirt off when I use soap. The best soap to use is dish liquid soap.
Reply:get a different color
Reply:soak em in wata.
Reply:They%26#039;re flip flops. They%26#039;re supposed to be grimey. As long as your feet are clean -%26quot;Don%26#039;t Worry, Be Happy%26quot;
Reply:soap and water
Reply:My daughter uses a solution of carpet cleaner and water. She mixes it in a bottle and keeps it handy just for that purpose. Hot Shot works too!!
Reply:put them in the washing machine that%26#039;s what i did. my mom freaked but whatever they got cleaned
