Why do asian girls wear flip flops?

So I started dating an asian girl recently, and she lives with three other Asian girls. Next to the door, there is a pile of flip flops. So I started paying more attention, and I noticed that a lot of Asian girls wear flip flops. Just somthing I%26#039;ve been curious about.

Why do asian girls wear flip flops?
They wear them in the house because they care about not having to clean their floor. They are not allowed to wear shoes in the house; it is considered very rude.





Outside is less common.
Reply:i used to wear high heels all the time. then i%26#039;ve start noticing that the shape of my feet are changing to fit the shape of high heel shoes. its also painful and girls who wear high heels everyday have more risk in getting sprained ankles. i%26#039;ve worn it for 2 years everyday and i get blisters all the time. now days i wear flip flops on my casual days and my feet are so much more healthier now. i came from a tropical city. many girls here wear flip flops and its quite common. we rather go easy with flip flops rather than being stuck with painful, blistery, wet, sticky feet in this humidity.
Reply:An asian girl myself.. Many wear flip flops coz of the heat. But dun take it the wrong way. We do wear shoes but some of us r used to wearing flip flops everywhere we go. And where im from, both guys and girls often wear flip flops. Its like a norm here.. We wear shoes when goin out to town / dressin up. Personally, it realli depends on wat kinda outfit im in.


Asians also have a custom to take off our shoes (or sandals, flip flops etc) before we enter anyones home. So personally, i wear flip flops coz its easier to get it off. Plus, my feet dun smell when its off.

Reply:I guess it%26#039;s the type of shoes that they traditionally have in Japan. Or something similar. In Hawaii, locals wear it all the time, as part of very casual attire.

2. If you recall, people other than asians wear flipflops a lot as well. Just look at those girls that visited President Bush wearing flipflops.
