Why do flip flops hurt?!?

I love the way flip flops look, but I have never been able to wear them. As soon as I put them on and try to walk, my toes scrunch up to keep them on, I can%26#039;t even control it. That makes it impossible to walk. Also, the thong that goes between the toes cuts into them. It%26#039;s so painful. Is this something that everyone goes through and just gets used to? Why can%26#039;t I wear them?

Why do flip flops hurt?!?
I think you are picking the wrong color. The pink ones don%26#039;t do that. :)
Reply:Hahaha - :) Report It

Reply:Ur not alone, I too can`t wear them, the toe piece hurts my toes and I find them unsafe for walking. I have a friend who wears nothing else all summer long, she shops, works and even mows grass wearing them. I`ll stick with sandals.
Reply:Try Crocs. They are made of a different material than other flip flops and your toes will be fine.
Reply:because if you wear them for to long, the weight would make it even more flatter than it is which causes a ruff hard at the bottom
Reply:because flip flops suck..

think about it those aren%26#039;t really shoes,,

its just two thin piece of plastic or rubber and that thing that goes in between the toes sucks and does hurt when it rubs the skin off in between the toes...

Ummm I think Wedge High Heeled Shoes and way better and Hotter too...Plus flip flops are NOT Hot, Just though you should know =)
Reply:i used to have that problem...so i just bought the cheap ($3) pairs from old navy and practiced walkin in them around the house and stuff..and eventully i got used to them, and could wear other brands..good luck
Reply:When you buy the cheap ones, they will hurt! Buy Reefs. You won%26#039;t slip out of them and they are super comfy
Reply:that happenes to me every summer when i first start to wear them again but i would just fight through it and try to suck it up as long as i could and i would just keep a pair of adidis sandals (which i also had to get use to b/c of the bumps at the bottom) in my bag and then when i could not stand it anymore i wold switch them
Reply:I used to be like that. I would wear flip flops around the house too but I would buy the ones with the fabric that goes between your toes instead of the rubber ones. It hurts because it%26#039;s something you%26#039;re not used to and your feet are getting stressed. Just start off slow and try different types, I liked the material ones best until I got used to them although I can%26#039;t wear them for too long like all day or anything or long distances. Its normal so don%26#039;t worry too much! good luck!
