What is it with wearing flip-flops?

The young people and some not-so-young people wear flip-flop sandals all year round. They wear them at church, going through slush icy parking lots, at football games (in the stands!) and everywhere else. It must be a fashion thing? Surely flip-flops are not that comfortable.

What is it with wearing flip-flops?
I live in Michigan and wear Flip Flops almost all year long, except when we have deep snow, I even have flip flops with fur on them for the winter of course.





Flip flops go with just about everything, and they are very comfortable.





The only thing is you have to keep your toes cute too, if your wearing flip flops and your a girl then your toenails must be painted!!!
Reply:well actually i live in florida so everybody pretty much wheres flip-flops and yes if you get the right kind of flip flops theyre very comfortable sometimes more comfortable than shoes.......but walking through ice parking lots sound horrid it must just be a fashion thing for them
Reply:I live in South Carolina so it doesn%26#039;t get too cold here. But, flip-flops are a way of life here. Rainbow%26#039;s are the most popular. It%26#039;s not even so much about fashion. It%26#039;s because they are comfortable, and they are easy to just slip on. They also go with everything =] Have a good day!!

Reply:flip-flops are just convenient to wear, because you can just slip them on and off and not have to worry about tying them!

Reply:I love flip fops because they are so comfy! But it gets pretty cold and snowy here in Utah. I don%26#039;t wear them in the winter unless it%26#039;s a sunny and warm day.
