Why do girls like to wear flip flops all the time usually?

It seems like it has become %26quot;in%26quot; to wear flip flops all the time, especially girls. Why is this? Flip flops should be for the beachl, pool, and at home. There were some girls at my high school graduation who wore them! I mean, wtf!?

Why do girls like to wear flip flops all the time usually?
Some people care about comfort more than class...
Reply:Flip flops do have their place. Dressy events such as an office, or other customer service job (unless its a pool or surf shop), and church are not it. My college aged sister-in-law seems to live in a pair of hot pink ones regardless of whether or not the color matches her outfit. Also, it seems as though people don%26#039;t walk in them, but shuffle. If they%26#039;re that afraid of losing their %26quot;shoes%26quot;, maybe they should try some with laces or loafers. As for comfort over fashion, I only buy shoes that I think are comfortable. That%26#039;s why I choose to not wear heels, especially the ones that look skinnier than a pencil. They don%26#039;t look safe, let alone comfortable. Yet, I still wear nice shoes, usually loafers, that are appropriate for almost any event.

I also don%26#039;t get them. However, they can be practical. Two weekends ago, my husband and I moved when I was eight months pregnant. (I%26#039;m now eight and a half.) I spent that weekend running around and on my size 11 feet which swelled up to two sizes. I spent Sunday and the next two days in a pair of flip flops. I only bought them because I found them new at Goodwill (leftover from the Target Dollar Spot) for $.50. It was my only option as I did not want to stretch out my loafers and even my Converse All Stars (which are the type that are supposed to be worn without laces, but they offer no support, so I added some) were uncomfortable. (I spent most of the week off of my feet, which helped. I still don%26#039;t spend much time on my feet and they have stayed their normal size.) They also work great for stepping into to take the trash or recyclables out. Other than that, they have little purpose outside of the beach or pool.
Reply:AS FAR AS WEARiN DEM 2 GRADUATiON OR A CLASSY EVENT i DONT THiNK DATS CUTE BUT iF DERE REAL CLASSY %26amp;%26amp; DEY CORDiNATE WiT DA OUTFiT DEN iTS FiNE OR iF YU JUS HAVE BAD FEET %26amp;%26amp; KANT WEAR HEELS OR SUMTHiN BUT DERE JUS COMFORTABLE %26amp;%26amp; EASY 2 SLiP ON %26amp;%26amp; SLiP OFF
Reply:My wife wears them all the time, I%26#039;m with you I hate%26#039;em too! lol

I hate the noise they make, and I%26#039;m not really into the feet fetish either, lol
Reply:I DUNNO BUT THEY ARE REALLY CHEESY AND CHEAP
Reply:There really comfy and the go with nearly everything
Reply:easy. Because they are too lazy to put on shoes.
Reply:I would assume the people who wear them find them comfortable. Men wear them just as much as women, I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s a gender issue. Or an issue at all. They%26#039;re just shoes, what does it matter?
Reply:I don%26#039;t think it has anything to do with bieng a girl. Most people wear them cause its good weather and they%26#039;re comfortable. People will wear them wherever the setting allows.

On a un-related note, some peaple need to turn their CAPS off. Unless they really do talk like special-ed kids all the time.
Reply:they are comfortable. i am in boots for 5 shifts at work, and i hate closed in shoes. so i rebel, and wear my flip flops.
Reply:because they are comfortable!!! but they are also bad for your feet
Reply:to a graduation? that%26#039;s quite odd. i mean they do look good with dresses but wouldn%26#039;t hurt them to be a little more formal. but girls wear them because they are comfortable, matches with most clothes, doesn%26#039;t cause sweaty, smell feet, shows off pretty painted toenails, and it%26#039;s feminine with the quite little flowers and stuff. =]
Reply:well have you heard of sweaty feet and it%26#039;s easier to put on and they are all so comfortable and SO CUTEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

and yes i am a girl!!!!!
Reply:I hear ya. The reason is because most girls these days choose comfort over fashion. I hate flip flops, they%26#039;re very messy looking and I hate the sound they make. Flats, heels, and boots are so much better girls!
Reply:I am a female in my 20s and I do not wear flip flops, they are so uncomfortable and you can not even run or drive with them. I read somewhere that there were car accidents because women were wearing flip flops behind the wheel and it slipped. They also make annoying noises like it sounds like its sweeping the ground. I live close to the city and it%26#039;s weird seeing women wearing them and the sound of their shoes echoes miles away, similar to the sound of scratching a chalkboard, now if it%26#039;s for the beach then I understand wearing flops because it%26#039;s easier to get sand out.I prefer sandles with straps around your ankles to hold your feet and ballet flats over flip flops. I did extensive research on why flip flops are bad for your health. For example: trip over them causing injury, affect your spine, etc..I just watched abc news earlier today and there%26#039;s this doctor who sees injury cases due to flip flops about 10 times a week! Also, i forgot to add that my aunt wore flip flops when we were in Hawaii and she got this big bunion, then she mentions to not take pics of her feet when we were taking pictures, I was like in my head %26quot;if you don%26#039;t want your feet to be seen don%26#039;t wear those shoes%26quot;, you can%26#039;t even hike in them. I do not care if flip flops are the %26quot;in%26quot; and if it looks sexy, you can look sexy other ways. Ex. personality, taking care of your skin, eating healthy, your hair, being nice, etc.

I care about comfort and I don%26#039;t want the sound of my shoes sweeping the ground and I use my head. I%26#039;m not condeming flip flops, just expressing my opinion, alot of people use those flops the wrong way and don%26#039;t use common sense. Peace!
