What do you think about flip-flops?

We have a family member of a patient who keeps pacing the halls in her flip-flops driving most of my co-workers crazy with the "flop-clickey" noise thing-a-ma-bob.


I didn't really notice... it doesn't bother me at all.


(Maybe it is a female thing. All five who complained are women.)

What do you think about flip-flops?
I'm a woman - I wore flip flops to work -- because they are easy to take off under my desk. I tend to walk kind of funny though to keep the "flip flop" noise down when I'm walking around inside.

sandals are for people who have gentital AIDS.


They attack your balls and or ovaries by stabbing them with their pin like arms. When they pop a hole the "riders" come in with flying carpets and sabatoge the whole reproductive system. Thats how we get molested

Reply:I think that flip flops were the best invention EVER.. I have around 35 pair of them (reef brand). I wear them every single day even in the winter.. I wear them to wedding, funerals, church, work and everywhere else.. I LOVE THEM
Reply:Some people don't know how to wear flipflops and walk in them without them "flopping." It's an art to it, lol, you have to know how to keep your feet stuck to the inside of the shoe so doesn't click and when you walk and let each foot down, you step lightly so it doesn't flop against the floor so hard and wake the dead. I don't think flipflops, sandals and house slippers were made for everyone, especially people with heavy feet and those who walk hard. It is an annoying sound, my mom walks like that and when you say something to her, she gets bothered like she's doing nothing wrong but it's annoying. I saw a lady in a driver's license bureau come in one day and was dragging her feet with sandals on and it made the "flip-flop" noise all the way to the receptionist desk and everyone in there was looking at her wishing she would pick her feet up. A kid though it was funny so on her way out, every time she stepped, he yelled, "Flip Flop, Flip Flop!" Everyone was glad someone brought it to her attention and she was leaving so we didn't have to hear it anymore.

Reply:I love them. I have like a billion pair. I have Dressy ones and just summer ones in all different colors. Yes, they can be loud at times but its how you walk in them really. :)
Reply:it could be nerves that have her flipping and flopping a bit much, don't they have something else to be worried about. it sounds like just a bit of hate, are they mad because you can't have your toes out? Flip flops are inappropriate for the job otherwise have fun with your SHOES

Reply:I wear flip flops all the time. They are comfortable and keep your feet cool. The sound.........I've never really paid any attention to it.

Reply:Flip-flops don't bother me really. I'm used to the "flop-clickey" of them since I'm always hearing people walk in them.


Some people just get annoyed easily than others.





I have a habit of tuning out distracting things when I'm working, so I probably wouldn't notice either.
Reply:Sandals other than flip flops can also make the same kind of noise. Personally I stay away from flip flops because I find they hurt my toes.
Reply:The Flip flop Flip Flop noise is very annoying. I am a woman and would hate if someone wore them to work. But I sometimes wear heels and the are as annoying. So are mens tennis shoes that squeek.
