Why do so many people wear flip-flops?

Why would a girl spend her time picking a good pair of jeans out, a nice top, doing her hair and nails, putting on make-up, and then get to the hsoes and get so lazy that she can only put on flip-flops, not even sandals.





does any guy actually find it sexy? does any girl actually find a guy in flip-flops sexy..it baffles me

Why do so many people wear flip-flops?
I do not find flip flops attractive at all. They don't stay on my feet and I am sure I would break my neck if I tried to run wearing them. Must be laziness that has caused this crazy fad.

Reply:Because they're retarded enough to think 1) it looks even remotely good and 2) that fashion is more important than actually wearing something that protects your feet and isn't made for use at the beach and/or public showers.

Reply:They're cheap, so you can have a whole bunch of them to match your wardrobe and if you lose one, it's no big deal (long story). They are easy to slip on and off and they are usually made of rubber or some type of foamy substance so they are soft and comfortable to walk in for a long time. They don't scuff and don't leave marks on the floor and...well...flip-flops are one of those things that define "summertime". Kind of like watermelon. Now tell me, why do people eat watermelon?
Reply:Because they are comfy, inexpensive, stylish, and match almost any ensamble! Find a pair of espadrilles or stilletos that can boast all of that.

in the caveman days, there were not other types of shoes, so everyone just went barefoot. I'm sure there were cavemen/women who thought the other were sexy at that time.





sexiness is more the confidence you carry yourself with. some people don't need fancy shoes or sandals to walk with confidence.

Mainly because I hate to wear shoes, so I take them off when ever I get the chance.

Reply:It is a total after thought that the shoes make the outfit. I worked in shoe repair and would see women in dresses that were hundreds of dollars and then they would have shoes on that were a mess and were like 10 dollars. I think a lot of it is because they dont see them when they look at themselves or something. Either that or it is pure laziness

I don't think flip flops are sexy. They're not meant to be sexy, they're meant to be comfortable.

Reply:I wear flips to the pool and beach...I like them as an easy casual shoe for slipping on quickly. I don't mind men in flip-flops, but I have a funny-ish story. My ex-husband was traveling to Europe a couple years back. It was summer, so he naturally had his flips with him. I guess it was a gay-pride parade/festival in Berlin at the time, and he was with a guy from work (also wearing flip-flops). Apparently, in Europe, at the time anyway, this was a very gay way to dress. He and his colleague were hit on by a few gay locals in Berlin. He noticed that only the gay guys were wearing the flip flops. He didn't care, he still wore them and all, but it was interesting that the flip-flop shoes were so NOT normal for straight guys in Europe. That was some years ago, maybe things have changed since...whatever the case....it's just a shoe, right? I'd rather see a flip flop than a man with dock siders and no socks any day!!
